Who we are

SpeakerHQ is the operating system for keynote speakers, available at speakerhq.io. This policy explains what personal information the platform handles and why. Questions: privacy@speakerhq.io.

What we collect

Account data: the email address a speaker signs in with. Sign-in uses one-time magic links; we never hold passwords.

Workspace content: what a speaker creates and stores in their own account, such as their profile, posts, talks, contacts, deals and notes. Each speaker’s workspace is theirs alone, protected by row-level security.

Enquiries: if you submit a booking enquiry, we collect the details you give us (name, email, organisation, message) plus, where you arrived via a QR code or shared link, a tag identifying that code so the speaker knows which event or placement the enquiry came from. A QR scan on its own identifies nobody.

Feedback: if you submit post-event feedback, we collect your rating and comments, your name and organisation only if you choose to give them, and whether you consent to the feedback being shared publicly.

Service data: basic usage metering for the AI writing features (token counts, never the content of what you write for reading by anyone else).

AI processing

Content drafting uses Anthropic’s Claude API. The speaker’s own material is sent to generate drafts in their voice. API data is not used by Anthropic to train models. One speaker’s content is never used to write another speaker’s posts.

Who processes data for us

Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Resend (transactional email such as sign-in links), Anthropic (AI drafting), Cloudflare (DNS and network security). Each processes data only to provide their service to us.

Contacts held by speakers

Speakers store contact records about the people they work with. For that data, the speaker is the data controller and SpeakerHQ is a processor acting on their instructions. A data processing agreement is available to customers on request.

Retention and your rights

Data is kept while an account is active and deleted on verified request. Under UK GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion or export of your personal data: privacy@speakerhq.io. If you are unhappy with how we handle data you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will note the new date here and tell account holders directly.
